Nice touch

North Melbourne threw a nod to their history in to their half time entertainment at the JLT Community Series game against Hawthorn at Arden Street today.

The Roos brought out an elephant to traipse around the oval, a reference to a time they did a similar thing in 1978.

At that time there was a circus promotion on, and the elephant was part of it.

They brought it on at half time against Collingwood, and the crowd of over 30,000 people freaked him out.

Disaster was narrowly averted:

Today’s elephant was much less freaked out and just calmly trotted around the oval.

Nice touch by North.
