22 year old Tom Keating has been spared jail time in Thailand, handed a suspended sentence over the death of his girlfriend, former Wagga woman Emily Jayne Collie, in a jet ski accident last month.
Keating was handed a one year sentence, suspended for two years for negligence, fined $189 AUD, and a ban from leaving Thailand was lifted.
The Phuket Provincial Court ruled that Keating committed the crime without intent, but also without care.
