No Bail for Crime Spree Accused

Two Griffith men allegedly responsible for four-day crime spree from the Riverina to Wollongong, did not physically appear in court during a brief mention in Wollongong yesterday, nor did they apply for bail.

Zach Corkery and Allan Burns, both aged in their 20s are facing more than 20 charges each, including aggravated break enter and steal, police pursuit, robbery in company, assault, Firearm Possession and using an offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention.

In one incident, police will allege a woman was hit in the stomach with the end of a firearm at Yanco, while offences also occurred in Wagga, Cootamundra, the Hume and in the Sydney area.
