Police in Sarina are calling for witnesses to a spate of vandalism. A number of road signs copping considerable damage at the gates to the Transfer Station. Officers originally called to the station on Friday when it was reported a car had tried to ram the front fence. Police are asking anyone with information to call Policelink

Mackay’s been awarded one of 35 grants from the State Government to further tackle domestic violence. The money helping to fund a family fun day to help get the message out that it's never O.K. Mackay MP Julienne Gilbert says the region is lucky to have scored the grant.

A young Mackay boy suffering from autism has had his dreams come true. Nine year old Kyan rolling up to his birthday party in a red Ferrari on the weekend. His mother had reached out on social media asking Mackay if anyone had a Ferrari her son could ride in. Kyan has been obsessed with sports cars for years and was blown away by how fast his favourite car zoomed

A plan for mountain bike trails in the Pioneer Valley will spike tourism. Bicycling Queensland releasing a statement saying adventure tourism is expected to grow by 65% yearly with bicycling tourism set to benefit

Mackay and District Mountain Bike Club is behind the plan at Eungella and Finch Hatton. The project for national standard trails is expected to cost about $3 million.
