More Supercar Contenders Uncovered

GRM, Erebus...

21 February 2017

With the countdown to the Clipsal 500 very much on and pre-season testing on the horizon, a couple more Supercar teams have pulled the covers off their 2017 machines.

First up, Garry Rogers Motorsport.

The team made a hasty switch out of the Volvos and back into Holdens in the off-season.

It came after the Swedish manufacturer pulled the pin on its involvement and demanded its engines back, triggering a legal battle that would've left the team running the Volvo chassis with Chevrolet engine.

Rather than pay lawyers, team boss Garry Rogers decided a return to Commodores was on the cards.

He's signed up HRT outcast Garth Tander for the #33 and retained James Moffat in car #34.

Further down pitlane, Erebus Motorsport will also be running a pair of Commodores.

David Reynolds has a new livery slapped on his #9 Penrite entry.

It's new gear too for Dale Woods who hops behind the wheel of the #99 racer after a year with Nissan.

The cars will hit the track for the first time at the Dunlop tyre test at Sydney Motorsport Park on Tuesday February 21.
