One officer will be left in charge of smaller regional police stations across the Riverina, under impending regional policing restructures across NSW.
Deputy Commissioner Gary Worboys detailed some of the plans at a forum in Junee this week.
Despite calls from some local community members, it doesn't appear that 24 hour policing for small communities is part of the plans.
