Major Crash officers are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred in Morangup (via Toodyay)
yesterday (4 September 2018), which resulted in the death of two teenagers.
About 2.15pm, three 16-year-old males were in a red 2002 model Holden Commodore travelling
north along Morangup Road. As the vehicle neared Toodyay Road, a tyre has blown out causing the
driver to lose control of the vehicle. The Commodore left the road and crashed into trees before
catching fire.
The driver and a rear passenger received critical injuries and died at the scene.
The front passenger was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC Rescue helicopter with serious
injuries, including burns and smoke inhalation.
Major Crash officers would like to speak to anyone or saw the crash, or the Holden Commodore in
