Mitchell Pearce has returned to Australia, after holidaying in the US and will hopefully sort out his NRL club future in the coming weeks.
Pearce was met by a barrage of reporters but only offered up one solitary comment.
When asked about potentially lining up alongside Cooper Cronk, Pearce delivered this response to reporters.
"Obviously, yeah, Cooper is a player you could play with for sure, he’s an Australian halfback," Pearce told reports at Sydney Airport earlier today.
The NSW halfback is a key factor in a number of potential player movements.
Should Pearce stay the Bondi club, the future of five-eighth Luke Keary could come under question despite being offered an extension at the Roosters.
Keary and Manly playmaker Blake Green have reportedly been sound out for a big-money move to the New Zealand Warriors.
However, Manly aren't willing to release Green unless they find a ready made replacement, which could make Pearce their number one target if he wants to leave the Roosters.
