Mitchell Moses has been named for the Tigers in round nine, despite talk that a switch could unfold before the teams were released for next weekend.

It was rumoured that Moses might be released to the Eels after his manager lodged another request with the Tigers.

However it appears that the Tigers are yet to secure a five-eighth in place of the outgoing Moses, who has inked a deal with the Eels for 2018 but is eager to move this season.

The club has been linked with the Panthers' Te Maire Martin, and according to Triple M and the Australian's Brent Read, it's likely that we'll see this jigsaw fall into place in the coming week.

"In the next week, he's obviously been named (in round nine) so I expect he'll play, but if it's going to happen I expect it will be sometime in the next week," Ready said on Triple M.

"I still think there's a good chance that it will happen. We had (Tigers Football Manager) Kelly Egan in on Triple M NRL on Sunday and Kelly Egan made it clear that it certainly wasn't out of the question that it could still happen at some point.

"It just depends on what they can get in return - and I'm sure they're exploring their options elsewhere as well.

"So Mitchell is playing this weekend, but I'm not sure how much longer this will continue."
