Millmerran locals are being told to become more water wise with their average daily consumption blowing out.

Figures indicate that residents are using around 636 litres per person per day, almost three times the average daily usage in Toowoomba.

Cecil Plains and Pittsworth residents are also being singled out with average consumption figures nudging 500 litres per person per day.

Councillor Nancy Somerfield says that Millemerran rates the worst however there are significant numbers throughout the region and she is calling for education programs to be rolled out through the area.
