Wagga City Council has announced the first section of the $40 million dollar Bomen Enabling Roads Project is open to traffic, with the 1.4 kilometre realignment of Byrnes Road now being used by north and southbound traffic travelling between Wagga and Junee.
A temporary speed limit of 60 kilometres per hour applies through the new section, due to works being undertaken on the nearby underpass.
East Bomen Road has also re-opened
Director of Commercial Operations, Caroline Angel says it’s the first milestone in the delivery of the project, and this section has been opened on time.
