Mid North Coast speed cameras under review

Inquiry into Valla Beach, Hungry Head

4 April 2017

The state government will dig deeper into road safety survey results at the site of a Hungry Head speed camera.

Roads and Maritime Services will find out whether the device, or road works, is behind a decline in fatalities.

It comes as data collected across 110 speed cameras in New South Wales has shown a 92 per cent drop in road deaths, while injuries are also down by a third.

It's not the only North Coast camera under review, a machine at Valla Beach will also be assessed.
