Following in the footsteps of the Brisbane Lions' Dayne Beams, an inspiring football captain has opened up to his teammates about mental health.
Josh Delaney, of Mernda Football Club, stood up in front of the club to speak on the topic of his depression.

His inspirational message was posted to Facebook and racked up over 16,000 views since last week.
"I'm a bit blown away, to be honest," Delaney said on The Hot Breakfast.
"I thought if Dayne Beams, captain of a football club and a professional... if he could do it in front of his football club - I thought it was time for a local footballer to do it.
"I'm going through a hard time as well - it's time for me to step up."
Beams commented on the Instagram post of Delaney's speech, referring to the Mernda captain as "very powerful and courageous."
