After winning this afternoon.

19 August 2017

Melbourne Storm have secured the 2017 NRL minor premiership after defeating Newcastle this afternoon.

After a shaky start conceding the first try and prop Jesse Bromwich being sin-binned for a personal foul, the Storm recovered to win 44-12 over the Knights.

This takes their win/loss record to 18-4, three wins clear of the second placed Brisbane with two home-and-away fixtures to be played.

Melbourne finish the regular season with two games at AAMI Park against the Rabbitohs next week, followed by the Raiders in round 26.
