A significant band of rain is moving its way towards Melbourne, and is forecast to hit sometime between 4 and 5 pm.
The Bureau of Meterology has issued a severe weather warning, which will bring heavy rain and damaging winds.
It will also influence the clash at the MCG between Richmond and West Coast, with the band likely to hit the ground before the match ends.
Multiple football games over in Geelong have been delayed mid-match due to the weather.
