Melbourne has appointed Gary Pert as the club’s next Chief Executive Officer to replace Peter Jackson.
Pert has most recently been CEO at Collingwood, a position he held for 11 years.
Prior to that he was General Manager at Austereo Melbourne, was Managing Director at Channel 9 and had board position at SEN.
Pert also had a decorated playing career, managing 233 games for Fitzroy and Collingwood.
“On behalf of the Board I would like to thank all candidates who expressed an interest in becoming the CEO of this great club,” Chairman Glen Bartlett told the club’s website.
“It is a coveted role and we had an outstanding field of candidates.
“Gary Pert presented as an outstanding candidate with excellent credentials and a strong track record of producing commercial outcomes.”
Pert will start in his role in October 2018.
