Triple M Grill Team's Matty Johns and Mark Geyer believe reintroducing the five-minute sin-bin would stop niggling incidents that is currently plaguing the NRL.
"Bring back the five minute sin-bin - 10 minutes is too much - too much consequence for a little thing," Matty said.
"Particularly these teams deliberately giving away penalties when defending their own line, just send them to the bin for five-minutes."
Meanwhile, MG spoke of incidents which could warrant a five-minute sin-binning.
"There's probably three or four things in the game at the moment that could be a five-minute sin-bin," MG said.
"If anyone beside the captain comes up to me and start arguing with me as the ref, straight off five minutes."
"Or if someone runs in more than five metres for a fight, five minutes."
Originally in 1981, the sin-bin was brought in enabling referees to send players from the field for five or ten minute periods for minor or major infringements.
