RACQ Lifeflight Rescue service had a busy weekend with the Toowoomba based services first mission taking them to Ravensbourne late Friday afternoon after a driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed off the side of the road.

The sole occupant, a male, was trapped in the station wagon before being freed by emergency services.

The Toowoomba based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter landed in a nearby paddock and the aeromedical crew assisted the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) in treating the man for multiple trauma injuries before airlifting him to the RBWH in a serious condition.
