There are major delays on the Flemington Racecourse train line after a car parked on the tracks, which has reportedly seen two people arrested.

Police are attending to the car, which has stopped across rail lines at the Ascot Vale level crossing.

It appears to be part of a protest, with 'Evacuate Manus' spray painted across the bonnet as well as other messages.

A banner is also draped across one of the tracks displaying a similar message.

Two people were reportedly arrested for blocking the tracks.

Metro Trains is expecting major delays of over 30 minutes as police resolve the issue.

Manus Island protesters have already featured at the cup, with protesters scaling a crane and draping another message near the racecourse.
