Luke Parker Cleared For Bump On Jarman Impey

Sydney star Luke Parker has been cleared for his bump on Hawthorn’s Jarman Impey in their match at the MCG last night.

Parker collected Impey high in the last quarter of the Swans’ thrilling win.

 

Match Review Officer Michael Christian explained that Parker “was contesting the ball and had no realistic alternative way to contest the ball”.

Two other incidents were also explained, with Jarrad McVeigh’s high hit on Jaeger O’Meara considered of insufficient force to constitute a charge and Gary Rohan’s tackle on James Frawley that dragged the Hawk defender to the ground decided to be not unreasonable in the circumstances.
