While he's one of the game's stalwarts, it appears as though Luke Lewis almost wasn't allowed in to the Dally M awards tonight.
According to a report by Fox Sports, the Sharks veteran was stopped by security as he tried to enter the venue.
The awards are being held at the Star Casino in Sydney, and Lewis had to wait for Triple M and Fox Sports' James Hooper and NRL staffer Tom Gallimore to arrive and let security know that Lewis was meant to be there.
"They weren't going to let me in!" Lewis joked after.
