Triple M's Luke Darcy believes Jake Stringer still has plenty of value at the trade table, saying he would be worth more than the pick 20 Geelong could offer for him.

The Western Bulldogs look to be parting ways with the 23-year-old in this trade period, with a few Victorian clubs reportedly lining up his his services.

Damian Barrett was wrapping up trade news on the Friday Huddle and noted Geelong, the frontrunner for Stringer's services, hold pick 20 in the draft, as well as pick 34.

He said that could get a deal done for Stringer, which Darce wasn't sure about.

"You reckon pick 20's fair...you reckon they'd accept that, would you?" he said.

"I think he'd be higher than that.

"He was a pick five himself, he's (spent) four years in the system, he's been an All-Australian and a premiership player in that time.

"I wouldn't think you'd go backwards, would you?"

Barrett explained why Stringer's value has dropped.

"His club's kicking him out, Darce," he said.
