Lockhart, Wagga and Temora Councils Get Flood Funds

Better Understanding Flood Risks

The Wagga, Lockhart and Temora Councils have been granted funding totalling more than $860,000, to better understand flood risks in their communities, as part of the joint Federal and State National Partnership Agreement on Natural Disaster Resilience.

Riverina MP Michael McCormack has announced more than $652,000 for Lockhart Shire, to be put towards The Rock East-Strevens Street drain.

Wagga City Council will receive $132,000 for its Villages Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan, and Temora Shire will get more than $81,000 for the Temora Flood Study.
