It’s a once in a lifetime event and Triple M’s Dangerous Dave went along to experience the one and only Paul McCartney live.
Read his live review below:
“When I first heard the news that Paul McCartney was coming to Melbourne my heart skipped a beat..I knew this would be my only chance to see a Beatle.
I’ve been counting down the weeks and last night I witnessed a masterclass by Sir Paul -just short of 3 hours of joy.
Going in I knew this would be emotional, maybe because this will be the last time he’ll play in Melbourne or because I was reliving my childhood lying on the lounge room floor losing myself in his music.
I wasn’t going “the blub” alone when he opened the show with a ‘Hard Days Night’... What an opener!
Backed it up with ‘Juniors Farm’ then ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’, the hits were coming way too fast.
Breathe Dave breathe.
Paul McCartney couldn’t be more comfortable than doing what he loves. His story telling about meeting Jimi Hendrix, catching a cab with Mick & Keith, and being directed by George Martin at Abbey Rd studios to sing ‘Love Me Do’ was surreal.
