Wagga's Brandon Demmery has a long recovery ahead of him, sustaining multiple injuries in a crash at the start of the Phillip Island MotoGP over the weekend.
He's undergone surgery at the Alfred overnight, and is in recovery, with a compound fracture, several leg breaks, and a fractured pelvis.
His father Michael Demmery says not only did Brandon hit the wall as a result of the crash, he was thrown onto the track and run over by three other bikes.
