Former West Coast star Brett Heady has confirmed a bunch of Eagles legends made a pact about whenever they played Fremantle in a derby.

LISTEN TO HEADY:

Heady is being awarded two retrospective Glendinning-Allan Medals for being best on ground during the two derbies in 1995.

He told Dead Set Legends Perth there was a pact made amongst the likes of himself, John Worsfold, Glen Jakovich, Chris Mainwaring and Guy McKenna about whenever they played the Dockers.

“Mick (Malthouse) used to try to have the line, it’s just another game and all that sort of stuff,” he explained.

“It wasn’t another game. We had bragging rights.

“We certainly never went into a derby just treating it as another game.”
