Las Vegas Police Release Official Timeline Of Shooting

BREAKING NEWS

5 October 2017

There were 75 minutes between the first shot being fired by Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock and police entering his room at the Mandalay Bay hotel.

Speaking at a press conference, Las Vegas Police Sheriff Joseph Lombardo explained what happened during that time as police responded to the attack that claimed the lives of 59 people.

Sherriff Lombardo said police waited to enter Paddock's room because gunfire had already stopped.

He said it was "phenomenal" that officers managed to reach the room within 12 minutes of the first shot.
