It’s not often that a cover song is better than the original and we are not saying that this one is but Spiderbait did a hell of a job covering Ram Jam’s classic black betty in 2004.
The rest of the country certainly thought so with it reaching number 1 on the ARIA Charts and number 32 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart in November of the same year.
It was Spiderbait's first number one single in Australia and also the last single Allan physically bought a hard copy of, so Allan spoke to Kram from Spiderbait about the amazing cover.
