Western Bulldogs ruckman Jordan Roughead has injured his knee in the first quarter of the Dogs’ first pre-season match against Melbourne at Whitten Oval.

The big Dog jumped to contest the last centre bounce of the term and hurt his knee at some point during his leap.

He immediately clutched at the front of his knee and signalled to the bench.

He went down the race at quarter time and has yet to resurface.

Meanwhile, back up ruckman Tom Campbell has taken the tracksuit off on the bench and looks set to come on.

The Dogs are struggling against the Dees, trailing 1.2.1 (22) to 0.6.3 (39) in the second quarter.
