Justin Murphy has copped it from ex-Essendon teammate Dean Rioli on Twitter.

Murphy was yesterday jailed for six months, after pleading guilty to charges surrounding the treatment of his girlfriend.

It was reported Murphy stalked, threatened to kill and disfigured his former partner with a blowtorch by scorching her middle finger off.

“I cannot accept violence against women. I cannot accept this campaign of terror you put this lady through,” Magistrate John O'Callaghan said.

Another person who doesn't condone it is Rioli.

"Deserves a longer sentence for what he did to his GF," he wrote on Friday morning.

"Men who terrorise or abuse women both physically and psychologically are Cowards."

Murphy and Rioli spent two years together at Essendon, in 2004 and 2005.
