Victorian left-arm spinner Jon Holland is set to be recalled to the Australian Test side to tour South Africa in March, according to The Age’s Daniel Cherny.

Holland made his debut in Sri Lanka in 2016, playing in two losing Tests.

He hasn’t represented Australia since.

Holland averages 32.16 with the ball at First Class level, and has been one of the best performing spinners over the last two Sheffield Shield seasons.

He has 11 wickets at 18.63 in the Shield this summer.

Opening batsman Cameron Bancroft is also tipped to hold his place for the tour despite poor form towards the end of the Ashes series, according to Fox Sports.

The full side is set to be named at 2:30pm today.
