Joe Ingles has signed the RICHEST contract for an Australian in NBA history 

The point forward is staying with the Utah Jazz after signing a $US52 million dollar, four year deal.

The 'richest Aussie contract' title has has changed hands two times in the past three days, with Ingles bypassing Patty Mill's and Matthew Dellavedova. 

The deal goes past Patty Mills' recently inked four year, $US50 million dollar contract with the San Antonio Spurs and Matthew Dellavedova's four year, $US38 million dollar deal with the Milwaukee Bucks. 

Ingles had been actively pursued by a number of teams, with Orlando Magic reportedly tabling $US60 million for the Aussie.

The 29-year-old was keen to re-sign with the Jazz considering the assistance they have given Joe's wife Renea and his young 

“I loved it there," Ingles told foxsports.com.au

“As a family, we really liked the city

“What the team does for the families — which is obviously a little unknown to the outside world — looking after Renae, which they do with all of the wives and families and girlfriends, and all the significant others, is amazing.

“Obviously, I haven’t been with any other NBA teams, but the way they did that was probably second to none. It’s important for me, to know she’s looked after when we’re away for, say, 10 days.”
