Much interest has surrounded new recruit Jake Stringer’s role at Essendon, with some suggestions in the pre-season that he’d be spending some more time in the midfield.
But his debut for his new club against Adelaide tonight was nearly curtailed tonight by a forgotten wallet and an Etihad Stadium official.
Jay Clark had the low down on Triple M Footy:
“All eyes on Jake Stringer tonight, but we understand he had a hiccup on the way to the ground,” Jay-Z said.
“I checked his Instagram story account before, and it appeared that he forgot his wallet, forgot his ticket into the ground and wasn’t allowed to enter Etihad Stadium.
“So he didn’t have a parking pass for under the ground and I think he had to park down outside Docklands in a cafe.”
