Jarrad Grant is a late inclusion to Gold Coast’s squad of 25 after Ben Ainsworth withdrew from the team.
The No.4 draft pick has succumbed to a corked quad and will not face Hawthorn at Metricon Stadium on Sunday.
Grant is now in line to play his first game for the season.
Ainsworth made a decent start to his career with 14 touches and two goals against the Brisbane Lions in round one, but only managed 10 disposals last week against GWS.
The Suns will finalise their 22 later on Friday.
