Injury prone Collingwood forward Jamie Elliott has hurt himself again in his attempted return to footy in the VFL side.

Elliott didn’t play in the first quarter before coming on at the start of the second term.

He tried to fly for a mark early on, but had to walk to the bench after pulling up lame halfway through the term.

Early reports suggested the issue may be a hamstring.

Elliott hadn’t played a minute of footy before today, after missing six games through ankle issues last year and having to sit out the entire 2016 season with back issues.

The Pies VFL side lead Geelong 8.1 (49) to 5.2 (32) in the second term ahead of their senior sides clashing at the MCG today.
