Wantaway Adelaide defender Jake Lever has proposed to his girlfriend Jessica Hansen on a first-class flight to Europe.
The 21-year-old, who is currently subject to a trade battle between the Crows and his preferred destination Melbourne, proposed mid-flight.
Hansen broke the news on Instagram after they landed, posting a photo of her engagement ring with the caption “That was a rocky flight”.
She also posted a photo of her and Lever with a glass of champagne each. Meanwhile, Adelaide CEO Andrew Fagan’s wife has hit back at claims Lever was told not to come to the best and fairest. She said it was Lever’s own call not to attend the event.
