The Queensland government are cracking down on the vaping epidemic in schools, with as many as one in ten children aged 12 – 17 years reportedly vaping - inhaling hundreds of unregulated chemicals each time.
Dr Brad McKay joined the Triple M Breakfast with Marto, Margaux and Dan to go through the ramifications of children vaping, and more importantly how do we stop our kids from picking up the dangerous habit?
“There’s all sorts of different ways that teenagers are getting it into their households and vaping in class,” said Dr McKay.
“There’s no real regulation in Australia… There are hundreds of different chemicals that are creating the flavourings, and we really don’t know what is in a lot of the vape solution that’s around Australia. It’s often imported from overseas.”
