It’s Deadset Gonna Be 30 Degrees At Midnight Tonight

Yeah nah.

It’s been an utter stinker in Melbourne today.

The mercury topped 40 degrees in the city, with spectators and players sweltering at the Australian Open.

It got to nearly 70 degrees on Rod Laver Arena, with Gael Monfils clearly affected in his second round loss to Novak Djokovic.

Tomorrow will be just as brutal, with the high set to be an eye-watering 42.

Tonight will prove no respite either, with the Bureau of Meteorology saying that the midnight temperature will be a very sweaty 30 degrees.

It should get to around 24 later in the evening, but it’ll still be a sticky one — might be worth keeping the air con on.

A cool change should sweep through in the afternoon tomorrow.
