Broncos star forward Payne Haas has requested to be released by the club after contract negotiations have reportedly broken down. The three-time Paul Morgan medalist is currently contracted until the end of the 2024 but has reportedly refused to sign an extension that would have seen him one of the league’s top earners.
Speaking on The Rush Hour with Leisel, Liam and Dobbo, Ben Dobbin told listeners that the NSW prop is chasing a bigger pay day than what he’s been offered but another ‘prominent’ club’s coach has told the NRL insider that Broncos should come down hard destabilization Haas’ management has caused.
