A massive investigation is underway after the body of a Melbourne teacher was discovered in woodlands in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The woman was officially identified as Shanae Brooke Edwards, a 31-year-old teacher who had been working as an English teacher in Georgia which is located between Russia and Turkey.
Ms Edwards was suspected missing after heading out for a hike in Mtatsminda Park in the Tbilisi capital on July 30 and was last seen at the Church of Mikhail of Tver.
A search operation was launched to find the missing teacher, whose body was located the following day.
