Hunt for Men Who Attempted the Armed Robbery of the Federal Hotel Continues

The search continues for two armed thieves, who allegedly used an axe and a rifle to storm the Federal Hotel Friday morning in an attempted armed robbery.

The pair reportedly chased away workers who had finished their shift but the duo failed to make a getaway with any stolen goods.

Queensland Police Service is linking the incident to a botched ATM robbery attempt at Cambooya earlier on Friday morning with a blue Ford sedan found burnt out at Centenary Heights, police believe there is a link between the two incidents.
