Victorian Detectives have located human remains while investigating the dissappareance of Melbourne woman Kelly "Ju" Zhang.
The remains were located at a landfill site in Wollert on Friday afternoon but are still yet to be formally identified.
An official crime scene has been established at the Bridge Inn Road landfill site, while officers continue to investigate.
33-year-old Zhang was last seen in February of this year at her home in Epping, with her eight-year-old son.
Searches were launched by Police in bushland throughout Heidelberg West and Alphington areas earlier in the year, with Police launching another search in the Wollert area on Tuesday.

Zhang's family have travelled from China for the investigation and are currently in quarantine awaiting news from the Police.
Crime Command Assistant Commissioner Bob Hill released a statement commending the "tireless efforts" of police during the investigation and hoping for closure on behalf of Ms Zhang's family.
"We know this has been an incredibly difficult and traumatic time for them. We hope that this will bring the closure they need and Ju can finally be laid to rest."

Ms Zhang's 35-year-old boyfriend has been charged with one count of murder.
