Homer Simpson To Be Inducted Into Baseball Hall Of Fame

Long overdue

24 February 2017

Homer Simpsons is set to be inducted into Baseball’s Hall of Fame to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of the classic episode Homer at the Bat.

The episode revolves around the social softball team for the power plant Homer works at, and guest starred baseball mega-stars Wade Boggs, Jose Canseco, Roger Clemens, Ken Griffey Jr, Don Mattingly, Steve Sax, Ozzie Smith, Darryl Strawberry and Mike Scioscia.

The episode — widely considered one of the best in the entire series — first aired in America on the 20th of February, 1992.

The classic episode features several references to The Natural and ends with a pitch perfect parody of Terry Cashman’s classic track Talkin’ Baseball:

There has been no update on the state of Don Mattingly’s sideburns.
