Brisbane young gun Harris Andrews is "in good spirits" after an "ugly" hit from GWS's Jeremy Cameron.

Andrews went back with the flight to spoil the ball but copped a hit in the other direction from Cameron's forearm, who had his body turned.

Andrews appeared knocked out before he hit the ground and had to be stretchered off.

Brisbane confirmed late in the term that Andrews was "in good spirits and has received stitches to his chin" but won't come back on the field.

Triple M's Simon Black said there was no place for that sort of stuff from Cameron.

"There's no question there's a holiday coming," he said.

"That's clumsy, that's lazy. That's just not on on the footy field.

"You know you get there late. You can't stick your elbow up like that."
