A Harlaxton man has been charged over the alleged stabbing of a 37-year-old woman in East Toowoomba.
Police believe the woman was stabbed in the back by a man who is alleged to have gained entry to a Scott Street unit around 3AM on Saturday morning.
The woman was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The offender was arrested not far from the crime scene after fleeing on foot.
The 34-year-old Harlaxton man, was charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent by break, wilful damage (domestic violence) and grievous bodily harm (domestic violence).
