Gold Coast is reportedly confident star midfielder Gary Ablett will play in their historic China clash on Sunday.
Ablett did not feature in a light training session for the Suns on Saturday.
He was the only Gold Coast player who did not participate.
Ablett has been back to his best in recent weeks, averaging 36 disposals, nine clearances and a goal a game over his last five games.
The Suns are already without David Swallow (knee), Michael Rischitelli (knee) and Pearce Hanley (heel) in the midfield.
