And the Fremantle Dockers have reacted.
They've offered star Lachie Neale a four-year deal in the hopes of making him a Docker for life.
He has one year to go on his current contract, before becoming a restricted free agent at the end of 2019.
A new contract would see an immediate pay rise heading into next season.
