Lachie Keeffe could become the fifth player to play for both Collingwood and Greater Western Sydney next year after he joined the Giants as a delisted free agent this week.
Keeffe played 40 games for Collingwood before his career was derailed by a two-year doping ban. He returned from suspension this season, but failed to play a game for the Magpies.
He last played an AFL game in 2014.
The other four men to have represented both Collingwood and GWS are a pretty talented bunch - Heath Shaw, Adam Treloar, Taylor Adams and Will Hoskin-Elliott.
Shaw is the most distinguished of the four with 262 games to his credit – 173 with Collingwood and 89 with GWS.
The 31-year-old was also part of the Pies’ 2010 premiership team, won the Giants’ 2015 best-and-fairest and is a two-time All-Australian.
