Former Richmond, Port Adelaide and Melbourne player David Rodan will officially begin work as an AFL goal umpire, it has been reported.
Rodan, who played 185 games for the three clubs in a 12-year career, has been named to officiate during the JLT Community series in February.
The 33-year-old spent last season umpiring, officiating in VFL matches and famously in the EJ Whitten Legends Game, igniting the crowd and doing the worm after a goal was scored.
