Former Mackay Teacher Loses Battle To Bowel Cancer

Rest Peacefully Bradley.

27 February 2019

Today is a sad day. Many locals would know Bradley Murray. He is a former teacher who was an active community member for many years. Bradley taught at Mackay North State High School from 2004 to 2013 and was popular with his students.

Bradley and his wife Alison moved to the Gold Coast with their kids to start a new life in the city. I kept in touch with Alison over the years and was saddened to hear that Bradley had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer. I would offer my support via social media over the past couple of months.

Sadly, Bradley passed away this morning after his battle. He leaves behind his wife and his two children. I spoke this morning to Alison and offered my support. She encouraged me to support and share the fundraiser for Bowel Cancer (posted below) If you can, please do so. Our thoughts are with Alison and her family at this very tough time.

Alison has requested that we publish this article in the hope of donations to help fight this disease.
